US Air Force Museum Memorial Plaza

June 25, 2011

The National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) started the Memorial Park in 1971 as a way for units and individuals associated with the Air Force to be honored for their contributions to the Air Force. The Khobar Towers Memorial is just one of over 500 memorials located in the park.

The original rock that was used at the Prince Sultan AB, Khobar Towers Memorial, was sent to the Air Force Museum when the Prince Sultan AB was left by US troups. However the original plaque was missing when it arrived at the museum.
